How many months is it advisable to be friends before dating?

I know it might not happen as I plan but I want to have all these stages of relationship this way.
Getting acquainted and start texting/calling on the 1st month
Becoming friends and start hanging on the 3rd month
Going on dates (start dating) and having the first kiss on the 6th month
Getting engaged on the 12th month
Getting married and having sex on the 18th month.

There is nothing wrong with some phone calls immediately and meeting each other for dates within a week or two, but texting is not a substitute for hearing someone's voice and intonations and KNOWING what someone means. Print is lacking for this.

I think a serious failure of dating is NOT meeting each other in person. There is no substitute for it. If you're not hanging out by the end of a month of talking and having a date or two, I don't think it's going to develop.

If you're extremely reticent about being kissed, I suppose it's OK to wait half a year. But I would think most folks would like a kiss by the end of a few weeks of good dates and hanging out.

However, there is no rush or guarantee of getting engaged after knowing each other for a year. If you want to put off sex, meaning kissing, touching or anything sexual, you'll have to make that clear from the get-go.

Statistics show people who want to develop serious, long-term relationships usually do so within 18 months to five years. This timespan seems to be when people stop "pretending" and being on their best behavior and you find out who the person truthfully is, what their family history is, you meet their friends and their immediate family.

But dating is NOT a rehearsal for marriage. It is a collection of INTERVIEWS for the job. You might have to kiss a few frogs. So be prepared.

No kissing no touching before marriage even experiencing these in relationship at most one , the promise for oneself is desired not to do it again. Friendship is okay cuz our spouses will already be our best friend in our lifetime , at least one the best ones. Indeed , usually the more the relationship lasts the higher possibility for it to end. At least it was like this be4 , but unfortunately as today , no one is brave no one can trust no one approaches the marriage to get the responsibilities , no one is pure-hearted , no one wants to marry , even as a friendship no one has these opinions (generalisation) and we r talking about marriage and weddings in here at the moment. So the time needed to know the "real" one takes much much longer now. But the ones who want serious relationship and has lived his/her life in this way up to that point are more likely to have opposite characteristics and point of views that I mentioned just now , hence , the time for them are like in the past true loves meaning no need to take any longer at all. Cuz their hearts are really pure and could find their soulmates as correspondents easily , when they meet each other they even realise it as if the long-term-awaited just and only and only one awaited , shortly , exact true love is starting to take effect.

Well all I can say is it's good to have a plan or at least a map to where you want to go. You have it all planned out. ALl you need to do now is find a guy who is attracted to you and to whom you are attracted, and who agrees to let you be in charge of everything. The odds of that working out are rather slim, so the backup plan would be to start spending time with a guy with no expectations and just let the relationship develop on its own.

Well dating is suppose to be the purpose of getting to know the person for possible marriage or life long partner. If your just friends then there's a good chance that's all it will be. But just because your dating doesn't mean you have to immediately start sleeping with the person either. But if you want to be more caitious which is understandable these days then just do casual hangouts. Really isn't a set time but the general rule is, the more time you spend around someone regardless who they are, you will develop some form of feelings for them

That's fast for me. I won't even propose before the 36th month of dating. As is I probably won't propose to my girlfriend before the 60th month. She knows we're looking at 5 years of dating before I propose though. I did want to live with her for an entire year before getting married, but COVID-19 messed that up. Now when she can come over, she spends weeks here. So I've experienced bad times with her, which was my goal. When you date and don't live together, you never see the "for worse" in the "for better or for worse". If I am marrying someone I want to see them when they're not at 100%, because when we are married I will eventually see that, and if I haven't before, I won't know if I can deal with it.

1 month meeting should begin. From the 2nd month, there should be more meetings, participation in events. After the 6th month, things like going out to dinner or going out of town should be done. Engagement at 12 months and marriage and sex at 18 months.

You can't intentionally be "friends" before dating.

The only way that works is if you were already friends before you both caught feelings for each other.

If you both see one another as dating prospects, then just call it like it is and date.

(Though it's perfectly okay to have an "exploratory period" before it's official.)

Problem with timelines are there are two people with conflicting timelines. If you are rigid eith your times it will backfire, instead just move at a pace you are comfortable with. To answer your question, 0. Friends are platonic and if she befriends me then there is a 95% chance thats all it will ever be. One should be clear with intentions from the get go.

If I went for 3 months not being attracted to someone, I'm not sure I'd want to date them.

I'd only ever consider someone a friend if I'm not attracted to them and I pursue their company purely for platonic reasons.

Get it over with, find out if he's interested and get to know him, don't jump into bed with him though, he'll start to doubt you and himself.
