Guys, what do you consider to be physically attractive? How much do looks matter?

I fairly often get complimented for my looks. My female friends always say I'm pretty, I look cute, I look like a doll or an Asian idol, etc. I even found out my crush and a common male friend think I look good. But still, I'm not a hottie at all. I got thick thighs, wide hips and a thin waist going on for me, but that's it. I'm way too short (4'11), skinny, have small boobs and I look a bit childish and much younger than my actual age. People even treat me like a little kid sometimes. Looks aside, I'm a pretty good catch too, but I'm a bit too shy and not assertive at all, I can't do much more than some clumsy hidden flirting.

I feel very insecure when it comes to girls who actually look like the women they are; taller, hotter, more experience and straightforwardness than me. Despite I probably beating them in personality, hobbies and etc (not meaning to say they're bad people though, most of the ones I know are lovely people), I often feel like guys would always rather go out with a girl like them instead of a girl like me who's more of a doll or a child.

Do looks matter enough for a guy to pick a girl over another? Even if a girl is good looking, can this younger look be a big turn off?

Yes looks do matter for a man. Men are visual creatures so yes the woman has to be gorgeous, beautiful to a man in order to appeal and please his senses.

However, the term gorgeous, beautiful is highly subjective and every man will have his own definition of what type of woman is beautiful, gorgeous to him.

For eg, I find women with super short, BOY CUT hairstyle, soft facial features with toned physique as gorgeous. Of course I give equal importance to personality also. Now some other man will not find what I find as gorgeous. His definition of a gorgeous woman may be different.

Again this would depend on the fact if the man gives more importance to only looks and is willing to ignore and compromise on the personality aspect. An outright gorgeous looking woman can be arrogant, full of attitude, has plenty of destructive bad habits like drinking etc but may have a handful of good qualities. Meaning just a small part of her personality may be good and if the man is ready to compromise with this then yes the man may pick a gorgeous woman over another woman who may be the opposite. However, in my view this is unlikely though. If a man has self respect then he will not willingly make such a choice.

From your question I can understand that the woman may be younger, gorgeous but has an appealing personality then yes that pure gorgeous looks can make a man turn away from that woman and find her unattractive because her personality would be ugly.

I like tall (5'10"+) thick, feminine women with curves. Looks don't matter to me as much as personality, and I'd say personality favors me 70-30. I like to say, I want a good combination of looks and personality, and that if you take both 1-10 scales for each looks and personality, I want a girl to be at least at 13, even if that's a 9 in personality and a 4 in looks.
