Yes that could be the case because then his response back to you gets you to respond back and sometimes you're too busy to continue a conversation. That's why people usually engage in messaging when they can dedicate time to back and forth messages.

So in looking at your responses, I can say it's possible you need to talk to him so he understands how you feel. Why? Because it is very normal and understandable that he is busy at work or not a back and forth text guy all day. I say this with peace and love. At 24 you could also be a little less dependent on stuff like this to feel wanted. I don't mean you're wrong for feeling that way but it's something that you might want to entertain otherwise you run the risk of being high maintenance and not everyone has time for that either. I mean that with sensitivity and not to sound callous. Direct adult to adult conversation
