Hey, I need some advice. In December
last year I had a relationship that
ended and it really has hit me hard, Its
been a rough few months but I feel
like I'm finally starting to feel better.
I found it very hard to let this person go
and it was clear that we deal with
things completely different, she moved
on to a next person while I tried to get
over it by myself. But a couple days
ago she messaged me and I don't know if I
should answer or just leave it?

I would leave it. You are finally getting over it and moving on. She did to as per your details. What exactly is to gain by answering? I’m sure you’re curious to know but it isn’t going to gain anything positive.

That chapter in your life is over. Leave it that way. Opening it back up won’t do you any good. You’ve spent time getting over her. A good amount of time. Do you want to do it again? I’m guessing no.

I always say “once an ex, always an ex”. That doesn’t mean you have to hate her or having any negative feelings. What it does mean is you leave her an ex and let it be. I don’t know what the message said but if she is with someone and moved on, it isn’t worth replying to.

There is a possibility that you will get sucked back into those feelings you once had and took so long to get over.

Message her. You don't want to look like you're bitter about it. Just tell her your life has been going great without her. Don't say it like that but just suggest that you've been doing great to make her regret leaving you. She probably broke up with the other guy. If she asks you out just tell her you found someone, wait a few weeks and then message her and tell her you left the other girl. You want her to feel like you have options. You don't want her to think she can just cheat and keep running back to you.
