This girl I like is a mutual friend from my roommate’s girlfriend. Now to start off, when we first met, my roommate warned her I would it on her, but she was in a relationship and I’m not really trying to be that guy; so I told her she she had nothing to worry about. I’ve only met her a few times now but I’ve felt this connection next to subtle hints from her. Well now she is freshly single, and today is her birthday. While I feel a connection, I don’t know what to get her and our mutual friend said not to get her anything. I want to buy her flowers, but I don’t want to come off too strong. Honestly I feel like roses would compliment her really well, but I know they would come off as too romantic. (FYI: We did have a conversation about the point of flowers the other day in relevance to her ex, and I did make the point the flowers die)

Flowers in one of the see through “contemporary” cylinder “vase” from Michael’s. They have tall and mid-size one. A little bag of natural rock pebbles, SEPARATE, is a good touch. She will eventually use them for some Sunglowrs as contrast against yellow/brown.
