I see! That makes a lot of sense! Someone who makes good money could blow it all and be terrible at managing it. So the amount doesn't really even matter. Thanks for your input! 😊
Not really, I mean sure having money is a good thing, as long as she's capable of helping with the bills and is willing to do what it takes to keep us both a float than I see no problem with how much she makes
Sure, feminist education has told women that men want an equal, and that men value the things in women that women value in men (signs of the ability to support and provide)- they don't. They care about your beauty, youth, femininity, and character (which includes your past).
Men don't care about a woman's income. As long as she makes an effort to support herself or be a contributor in their life efforts, whatever those may be. As long as she's not just a lazy manipulator looking for a free ride.
“They found that men felt the most anxious when they were the sole breadwinner in the family, and the least stressed when their women partners were contributing 40% to the household income. But as women made more money past that point, men become "increasingly uncomfortable" and stressed, according to the findings.”
Interesting. Sounds like men are anxious unless there is some parity between the incomes.
Ah! I definitely make enough to survive alone. Ah! I have a decent job. But it's a small company so they pay less. But it allows me the freedom to work from home so it's a trade off
Ah! That's awesome that you feel that way! 😊 This guy is kind of free spirited. So I think he'd be happy for me that I have that kind of freedom. He's trying to find a similar job
I agree!!! That's why I don't mind having a lower paying position. I'd rather be happy and have a good work/life balance. Plus if I worked in the office and made more it would even out to what I'm making now bc of Gas. So may as well stay home and get paid a little less. When I accepted this job I was offered a job that paid $15,000 more per year. It was at home but I wouldn't have the freedom to travel and work if I wanted. Plus I could tell I'd be miserable there. My current company is run by young people like me and it's very progressive. They're pretty chill
yeah i traded a quite well paid job in industrial production as machinist/welder for project coordination as a social scientist xD quite a big turn but i really noticed that i had so much money and no time to do anything with it. now i barely have money, cause i work part time despite paying of my student loan. but i have lots of time to enjoy my life and can be spontaneous in doing stuff with people i am happy to be around.
Oh wow, that's awesome!! Yes, exactly. Or you end up miserable and have to take vacations to escape reality and bc you are burned out. Yesss. We think similary their. As long as my basic needs are met I'm happy. My last job burned me out so much and it was a toxic environment. Never again!!
Yeah, I could see that. I don't think he's worried about that with me. We were talking before he was making good money. He was crashing on his friends couch and driving for uber while he finished up his degree. And he knows I'm a minimalist and like to live a simple lifestyle. I'd consider myself pretty low maintenance
Yeah, I don't want to be dependent on a man though 😬. I'd need my own money. That way if things went south I could survive on my own. Plus it gives me a sense of purpose. We can just both cook and clean 🤷♀️.
i make over 100,000 he's makes a little over 70,000 so i understand how he could feel being the man so i never bring it up and make him feel he controls all the money always.

It is not an issue about how much she makes. As long as she takes good care of her whatever amount of money she has.
I am very good about budgeting my expenses. And very responsible
Then you could make $1,000 a month and I wouldn't care.
I see! That makes a lot of sense! Someone who makes good money could blow it all and be terrible at managing it. So the amount doesn't really even matter. Thanks for your input! 😊
I am always happy to help.

Thank you for your answer! I'm definitely capable of that:)
Good, stay safe
Thank you! 😊
most guys don't care what type of job or amount of income a girl has. provided she can support herself and/or help him pay bills if needed.
Ah! That makes sense. I can definitely support myself. I have for the majority of my adult life
No, men don't care about how much money, or the education level of a woman.
Oh okay. I see. For some reason I felt like they would care

according to scientific researches men are less "discriminatory" than woman.
I think they probably are equally discriminatory, but for different things
i mean for this subject you mentioned/
hey, when i look close at you, you look like a lady i used to know
Ohhhhh. Really? Where is she from? Lol
she was from Brazil. met her a few years ago. round your age as well. that's funny. where are you originally from?
Ah! I'm Puerto Rican but originally from upstate NY.
i never met a Puerto Rican (from upstate NY) before. nice to meet you :)
Same to you! I think we are pretty awesome 😊 haha
Self awareness! ;) hahah
@prchica2007 still every person is unique. what kind of person are you? can i to know you a little
Im a unique person lol
pfff hahahah
but never mind.
Lol! Okay
k lol
Statistics say they do in general. Most American men are uncomfortable if their wife out earns him.
Thank you for your input! I'm definitely seeing that across the board based on the answers here

not really. she should make enough to survive alone. but more than that, i don't care about. it's more about what she does for a living.
Ah! I definitely make enough to survive alone. Ah! I have a decent job. But it's a small company so they pay less. But it allows me the freedom to work from home so it's a trade off
i don't care about the pay. if it pays the bills, that's fine. for me it's about her being happy where she is in her professional life.
for me life isn't about maximizing your income. it's about maximizing your life satisfaction. and that often is a toally different thing.
Ah! That's awesome that you feel that way! 😊 This guy is kind of free spirited. So I think he'd be happy for me that I have that kind of freedom. He's trying to find a similar job

yeah vacation is bullshit. 2 weeks of traveling to some random country doesn't fix an entire year of stress and exhaustion.
Yesss. And then you just end up with less money anyways. So is it even worth it? 🤔
I mean there's cheaper and better ways to travel. Going to some hotel all inclusive is definitely not worth your hard earned cash.
True! I'd rather go camping or something which is pretty cheap. he's the same way
If I was making that much money I would definitely be on the lookout for gold diggers I will tell you that.
Yeah, I could see that. I don't think he's worried about that with me. We were talking before he was making good money. Yeah then the guy is not going to care about your income at all so long as he's not pulling all the weight you know?
Ah! Yeah I'd never want that! I'd want to contribute. Not having a job would be so boring tbh.
Technically you could still contribute through doing housework like they did in the olden days but I get you.. except for missing work.
Yeah, I don't want to be dependent on a man though 😬. I'd need my own money. That way if things went south I could survive on my own. Plus it gives me a sense of purpose. We can just both cook and clean 🤷♀️.
Considering how much money unlocks in this world as far as opportunity. The more money we are bringing the better
Very true!
I never have.
As long as she is happy in her career the rest will work itself out.
Yes and no. Financial independence is very attractive, but not many people do have a lot of disposable income, so you're not alone.
Yeah, very true! That makes sense. Especially with inflation the way it is.
Having a job is important. How much money she makes isn't to me. How hard she works is a very attractive bonus.
Currently, my wife is in a position to make much more than I am. So be it!
That is so great that you don't mind! 😊
In the economy today, I don't see how we will EVER be able to "really retire".
Yeah, it's crazy out there!:/
Men see woman's career as "hobby" for the most part
That's something that women are concerned about. Men couldn't care less how much you earn.
I've always been concerned with that. But I won't let it bother me anymore:)
No we dont because we take care of ourselves
Fair enough! Lol. I'm the same way. Just didn't know how men felt about it haha
Good to hear that
I think so, my man makes less than me, he doesn't like bringing up the topic
I see! I have heard that before too
i make over 100,000 he's makes a little over 70,000 so i understand how he could feel being the man so i never bring it up and make him feel he controls all the money always.
On wow. In my mind, I feel like he should be happy you make good money. And contribute to the household
Its a man thing they need to know their in charge, i don't mind, he is in charge he makes me happy
Yeah! I've just never understood it. Awe, well I hope he can see that! So I'm sure he likes that he makes a lot more money then me then lol.
Ha Ha! its his too
Right!! Haha
you are so pretty in your profile pic Hon! what a doll!
Awe, thank you so much!! 😊😁
I don't care about such matters. As long she's productive is what counts.
Very true! 😊
The absolute amount isn't so important as long as it is more than she spends!
