Who has a better chance in dating: men with long hair, or women with short hair?

Let's do the hair length swap. Or should I ask which gets more appeal? It would sound quite hypocritical of me to say I prefer girls with long hair when I have long hair myself. A lot of guys don't prefer girls with short hair. But i know and I don't care if girls prefer short hair on guys. So i'd like to know which is less likely to be rejected the opposite gender or the more acceptable one.

Ok, here’s how I’m pretty sure it goes:

Guys with long hair, no shirt and muscular build—they are the staple of romance novels, and occasionally show up in real life! They are not on the top of every girl’s list because she has to first find one man, and then, fight with others for his attention. LOL

Girls with short hair, dressed attractively (whatever that means to a guy) are easily found, and most have great personalities. Guys will be glad to have a short-hair girlfriend because she is normally smarter than average. Instantly, a guy knows he won’t have to earn a living if they hook up, he can live in her apartment and play video games while she is out working in a managerial position.

The woman should be very very beautiful to keep short hair and still look good.

I think that some guys can look good with both, but hair matters SO MUCH on a guy. I know so many guys who are really good guys, but when their hair isn't good all of my girl friends will say that it's a deal breaker. So, when people make fun of a guy for caring a ton about their hair, I can understand why they put so much effort into it.
