Last night my husband admitted to me that before we started dating, he discreetly called the funeral home to get the correct spelling and pronunciation of my first name from someone on the staff. Then he practiced writing it about 50 times so he could get that aoi vowel combination down before writing anything to me. I wondered - nobody ever gets it right. I found it humorous but endearing at the same time.

One Asian woman that I met on the internet (That I barely knew), she took all of my pictures from my facebook profile. Then she added all of her pictures mixed with mine in a slideshow and set it to music. Then she sent it to me. I was like "Wow, this is the sweetest thing, more than my ex-wife ever did and I don't even know you." LoL.

Thanks, she was extremely religious so it wasn't long before we figured out that we were quite different people from each other.

I guess it really symbolizes that you're Mixed Race. When I looked up Saoirse it showed a famous Irish American actress. It's perfect, you got a more Japanese look and your Irish name.
