I got donuts delivered to a guy I've been talking to, is that weird?

so my friends are saying it is and I'm anxious as hell. He told me the night before he was stressed out from work. We have been trying to make time for eachother but it's been hard the last 2 weeks. He keeps apologising. So I got donuts delivered to his work yesterday with a hand written note saying 'you got this :) xx'. My friends are saying it's too much.

I've been talking to him for a month. is it weird? Too much?

I don't think it's too much if you've been getting to know each other for a little while. You're friends are probably trapped in the same "not chasing a man means doing nothing for him + lets all not be vulnerable and show interest too soon or too much" mindset that holds many captive. If he thinks it's too much, then he's not for you. That was a sweet and thoughtful gesture and that's nothing to be nervous about or ashamed of in my opinion.

Only thing I would say is maybe send it to his home or something where he won't be pressed by coworkers. "Is that your girlfriend?"

I would say the only thing is it could make him feel pressured, but you can just reassure him that it's not a big deal, you just wanted to do something nice for him. He may not think its pressure though and may think, "wow, she's really sweet and I could expect this kind of care from her in a relationship." As long as he returns that care, not a problem there. You don't want it to be one sided or be a doormat. On the other hand, he may need time before he does something like that as well.

Don't stress about it. You already did it, so no opinions really matter here. It was thoughtful and sweet, leave it at that and then wait for feedback from him. Bravo for being brave and kind! If only more people were the same :)

No, personally, I don’t think it is too much. It is simply a kind gesture and I am plenty sure he would appreciate it. Do not overthink and worsen your anxiety. If he thinks it’s too much, well, that’s on him. Lesson learned, move on and only do this if you’ve known them for a longer time the next time. If he likes it, I’d consider it a win! It could actually increase your chances of him fancying you even more.

It's not too much, and it definitely makes a statement that, not only are you ok with treating him, and giving him some morale, but you are also ok with him gaining a few pounds.

Whether or not those statements were your intent, he may see it that way, and think its sweet. So even if its too soon to be dating, you are earning brownie points just for how he views your treatment of him, and thats never bad.

No it isn't, but if you keep paying attention to his needs like that he's gonna propose. 🤣 But you can't slack, you gotta keep that energy up and know when he needs his space too.
