Do you want a needy girl and if so why?

Posting anonymous cause not too proud, I found myself being that typical needy girl going desperately after that (typical?) distant & controlling boyfriend.

Any men out there can explain how on earth they are attracted by a needy girl in the first place, and stay with her, but are also constantly trying to run distant at the same time, I don’t understand this dynamic… why not find someone not so needy with less struggle… I guess opposite attract but still that doesn’t make much sense?

Needy and clingy girlfriends are the best tbh, I'm not the opposite though, I like women who want my attention/affection all the time, but I also only like her if we have the same hobbies.

I think some guys who like to feel more dominant and like to feel wanted like needy girls, but those guys who have their own thing and are more attracted to independent and confident girls wouldn't want a needy girl.
