Should I continue pursuing her or should I move on?

we have been good friends since 6th grade, and she had a crush thing and had feelings for me, which I realized later after switching schools, and now its been like almost 8 years (present)

Here is a thing, we are also texting each other for 5 years and discovered I have feelings for her and which made me haste and suddenly proposed to her.

she then denied straight to my face that, she didn't even once think of me in such a way and never will.

later I asked my best friend who also happened to be her best friend and did some digging, and found out, "she really did have feelings for me back then".

now, I am confused should I pursue her more or should I drop it there and just pretend like we are just friends

Maybe she's scared? I mean if she had feelings for you this long, it would been hard to suddenly change the status quo.

I mean it's been a long time.
But, the minute she sees any other girl flirting with me, she gives them a death stair and scares them off 😂

But, she is spending more time talking with me than before, it's just that I can't digest having a life without her.
She shares everything that going on in her life and all but, tries to act like she has no interest in me.
