For everyone who thinks that looks don’t matter, why is interracial marriage rare in some places?

I remember reading on the CDC website, they have a natality page that keeps up with births by characteristics and they ask about the father of the baby. So in Georgia, 90% of white women who give birth, had a white partner, only 3% had a black partner. In Alabama, only 2 or 3% of white females that gave birth or married, had a black partner. Both states are 30% black.

There are 2 white people for every black person in Alabama and Georgia. but only 1 out of 35 whites date and marry blacks.

What do you think is the reason why this happens?

I believe people date their own race for cultural reasons and not aesthetic reasons. I find black men to be very good looking, but culturally we have values that are not identical most of the time. For example, Chinese culture says to understate your value and achievement and black culture says to be confident and take pride in who you are. Chinese culture says to do much and speak little and black culture says to be creative and bold in your self expression. Chinese culture says to be faithful to your spouse no matter what and Black culture says divorce is okay if the relationship becomes lifeless and unfulfilling.

All races agree that whites are the most attractive, but women prefer them much more than men.
