Meeting girls at a country dance hall?

So I've just about had it with all the low life's online wasting my time and decided it's time to meet girls in real life. I'm not really a country guy so I don't have cowboy boots and all that. Everytime I've gone to a bar or a club with a friend a girl usually comes up to me as soon as I leave to go get a drink or to the bathroom. Guess they wait until I'm by myself. Opinions?

Should I just wear a plaid shirt and blue jeans?
