I rejected a guy but we meet often cuz we have a lot of mutual friends and it is so awkward between us now, like pretending the other one is not there and stuff. Will it pass?
It kind of has to be. At least until someone else catches his fancy, or he grows up a little. Once you’ve been rejected by someone you literally decided was awesome enough to risk rejection in the first place, those feelings don’t go away with a rejection. He still thinks you’re awesome. If it weren’t awkward to be around you, his fondness would grow. That’s no bueno these days. So it has to be awkward for now. Let it be. You’ll live. He’ll discover another and you can go back to the way you thought things were. Or he’ll grow up and realize that an awesome woman who doesn’t want to be intimate with him is not that different from an awesome man who doesn’t want to be intimate with him. Then you can just be friends.

Hopefully. I mean. He didn’t do anything wrong. Just do your best not be be weird. Long as he don’t push the issue. If he doesn’t like you anymore unless you have to talk to him. Leave him be.
He will find someone else and move on
Eventually, just have to give some time and a little space.

Is rejection ever not awkward? It's hurtful, disappointing, and embarrassing. Takes time to recover from that, and it can be especially difficult if you then have to face that person again. Yeah, it may pass, but not for a while.
Yeah, that's very common and the awkwardness you feel will fade in time.
