Everywhere we go, girls always complement him and there’s always stories about how girls tell my mom how cute he is. So my dad cheated on my mom with a 22 year old hot girl. She is really hot and I honestly can’t blame him for falling into temptation.

With that said. If your father is unhappy in his relationship then he needs to not be a coward and do something about it. Either get a divorce or marriage counseling.
Many people do stop putting efforts in a relationship, onto health and appearances at some point of life. They should be warned, and divorced,.. Cheating is just shitty. It's like saying I didn't study for Psychopathology because the portion for exam is too much, too inhuman.
@anon1903 you’re right. People make vows when they get married. I’m sure everyone at some point goes through a rough patch in their marriage. Cheating definitely isn’t justified.
It’s wrong. It’s immoral. Unethical. In some areas even illegal. He should have either made a effort in working things out or just divorced and moved on.

Cheating is cheating what led up to him cheating and any justifications you or he come up with doesn’t change the fact that he cheated. And that alone makes him a shit person. Sorry I just don’t hold any value in cheaters and your mom deserves better.
Your dad should've helped your mother maintain herself, especially of it would've led to this. Your mother should've taken care of herself, not only for the relationship but for h her sake as well.
Either way, I place the blame on your father and he definitely deserves to get what he deserves. Cheating is cheating and he obviously took the lazy route instead of actually helping your mother.
we don't know if he did try to help her or not. chances are if he's been with her for this long he's likely to have been trying to help but she won't listen.
had the roles been reversed, it'll be hard for me to defend a guy who got cheated on, if his wife is giving him so many chances to at least show some semblance of wanting to change but instead he keeps dragging her through the mud leading to nowhere.
in no way am I justifying cheating but this can be one of things that goes through the mind of a cheater unfortunately.
@inhua you're right, it's not known. Cheating isn't a way out, though I understand if the partner just broke things off instead of cheating. If you excuse cheating in one case, cheaters will just move the link and think it acceptable in all cases (or in other words, cheaters will always just cheat regardless). In the case of the father actually helping the mother, it would have been better to have given her an ultimatum if she continued refusing to take care of herself (aka "change your behavior or I'm leaving").
A cheater is always a cheater! I do not agree with what your mother does but at the same time, your father could have made it clear that he doesn't like her and wants her to take care of herself and if she still didn't do it, then he could leave and then find any girl he wanted! Please, do NOT be like your father! Change your mindset, you are still young!
No, it was 100% his fault. If he's unhappy in the relationship, and the relationship doesn't seem salvageable, he should take steps to end the relationship. There's really no defense for cheating. Even a dog can resist the temptation to snatch a treat balanced on its nose. If your dad can't control himself, that's not because he's human. It's because he's weak.
Cheating is cheating, and there is never a situation in which it is justified. He made a choice to cheat, it wasn’t an accident and it is 100% his fault. if your father was real man with an ounce of dignity and integrity he wouldn’t have chosen to be an unfaithful pig.

Cheating is never ok, it’s completely selfish. If he wanted to be with other women and unhappy with your mom then he should’ve left you her, plain and simple. Don’t justify his indiscretion with “temptation” and blame your mom for HIS actions.

He is at fault. He is the one that cheated and is 100% responsible for this actions.

There is no such thing as "making a mistake" when it comes to cheating. He did what he did for the reasons he did them and regardless it's undefenseable.
