I was with my man for 2 years (I am 20, and he's 22). I had to break things off because we were on very different paths in life, I am close to graduating college and aiming to get my masters and he has spent a year playing video games and not looking for a job or anything to improve himself. I told him that the way he is living is not aligning with my ambitions and what I find attractive and gave him about nine months to try to help him apply for jobs and get his permit. Nothing stuck and I broke it off. Besides these factors he was great to me, always treated me like a queen, and we were best friends. I want to go no contact and let him figure out life, grow up a bit, and realize his priorities; the same goes for me. But, I want to know if anyone on here has a somewhat similar experience to mine and has gotten back together (after a long time has passed) with someone you loved but were on completely different pages.
