Men of all ages want women in their 20s. That's a fact. However, there are certain stipulations that come into effect:
1) Said man has to be physically attractive. This one isn't negotiable.
2) Finances in order.
3) Leadership qualities.
4) Confidence/charisma/sense of humor...
Why in this order? Because younger women are the most visual group of women when it comes to attraction. A lot of girls in their 20s select guys that they find physically attractive over those who they share values with (some can say this is due to their lack of maturity, but I digress) and as a result most of the time they end up picking men similar to them in age, since a man's physical prime is in his 20s. However, they get played and traumatized running after the dudes that all the girl's their age want, so they get cheated on and heartbroken. Eventually, they get older and focus on their career, and then become bitter.
Men in their 30s are generally better off financially, but they are not usually the first pick for a younger woman, because a lot of women don't think positively of age-gap dating. However, these men have had time to mature in their thinking and are more financially stable than their 20 something year old counterparts. Now granted, this is also the age men's hairline starts to recede (which is due to genetic factors), and can also sometimes start experiencing heart problems at this age if their lifestyle is not healthy. The question is not whether a man in his 30s would want to date a 25 year old woman, the question is whether that woman would want to date that man on the same scale.
Men understand that there's a supply and demand problem, so they have to compete. If they don't meet 2 or more of the criteria I mentioned, they will not be seen as attractive to these women and will be left out. On the other part of the spectrum, the women who are in their 30s will also have to compete with the women in their 20s, and they have the disadvantage since men are even more visual than women so that woman who is middle aged and had left her prime would still have to outcompete women who are in their prime to get the spot. See how it works?

Generally, they want to date women in their 20s, but past their college years, so like 23 to 29. Because women in their 30s (even early 30s) age like milk and a female 30 is like a male 42. And a female 40 is like a male 56. Men of all ages, aren't into old (or "oldish") women, like 35 and up. But of course, this doesn't apply to all men.

+1 yi mean i personally am still somewhat playing with the thought of having children. so much older than 30 wouldn't be good for that. but otherwise i prefer dating my age. sure women in their 20s usually look more sexually attractive but they also have less to give in terms of being a good companion in life in general.

+1 yAlmost always. Honestly @Datboi65 pretty much nails it on the head. Only thing I could add is post 30 years old having children for women becomes significantly more difficult and if a man wants a family, as most do, he'll look to a woman in their 20's.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yJust depends. Some do, some don't. But it's true that women hold the cards in dating during their 20s, but the tables turn around age 30 and that power shifts to men. Women are wise to not squander those years when they have the power and find a good life partner before it becomes much more difficult to do so and their choices become much more limited.

+1 yI'd prefer a woman at least close to my age, but most of my generation's women hate hardcore gaming, sci-fi, and science, so I'm likely stuck picking a woman in her 20s just to get one who is mentally compatible.

Some do but younger women have better looks, better fertility, and less baggage.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yLol, men just want to date women that actually like them. Yes, youth is attractive and generally women in thier 20's look more youthful. But it's generally accompanied with the immaturity of the 20's. So at the end of the day guys just want a woman that they can talk to and get along with.
00 ReplyI'd date (or should I say "fuck", cuz I gave up on dating long ago) any woman in the range of 18-50 years old. If I'm attracted to her, the age doesn't matter at all.
10 ReplyHarsh truth: They want to date women in their 20s. That doesn´t mean they will never date a women in their 30s as long she is attractive. Women in their 30s also often want older men. So they go for men in their 40s and 50s too.
10 ReplyI'm about to turn 30, and I can tell you that I'm absolutely open to dating women in their 30s.
