Why it sucks so bad when you lost a chance with a girl you really like?

I just lost a girl I really like. Dont know what I did wrong. She just end things after first date. I dont if she didn't like the date but in my mind when I was going home from the date I thought it was fine maybe like one, two awkward silences but thats it. It is hard one to take cuz i know she was interested as well and I was emotionally invested maybe too much. It really sucks, dont know if I’ll ever have a chance with such a girl

Maybe she didn't feel a connection with you during the date. Maybe as you said, maybe you were more invested then she was. Either way, everyone of us experiences rejection. It's just means that person was the right person for us or it just wasn't the right timing
