Are we responsible for the patterns of our dating history?

So the one thing I constantly hear is everyone is like “ I keep dating nothing but bitches” or “ All of my exes are nothing but assholes!!”.

I think there are truly some vile and wicked people in the world and I do think sometimes good people are just not good fits for each other but every single person in your past is truly that bad? Maybe some people don’t evaluate people properly. Who knows, I’m just spitballing and ranting.

Dating one or two jerks, is just bad luck. Having a pattern of dating them becomes solely your own fault. Hell, even I learned that with most of my exes, who disrespected me for my height, and always implied "they could do better." Which is why, I don't pursue dating right now (among other reasons.) Sometimes, it's 'better' to be single and alone, than with the wrong person or people.

Yes! You are not responsible for been attracted by someone but if you still want to date them or don't break up (in case you see their true self while in a relationship) when you see their true colors, then you are responsible for your own pain and misery. PERIOD!

I think sometimes there are external factors that may psychologically impact you but you have to take accountability eventually
