I have been talking this guy for two weeks now. He would call me regularly to talk and text me regularly as well. He was for me putting in the necessary time to get to know me. He told me he was looking to commit to someone. He from the first or second time we talked he immediately planned the first date and asked me when I was free. We finally agreed on a date about a week and half later. We end up meeting a few days before our first date but it was a bit awkward because it was last minute but I still wanted to give it a shot. We talked on the phone regularly and the Thursday night before we talked again. Our date was supposed to be all day Saturday so I was expecting to hear from him on Friday at some point. However he didn’t text nor call , which kind of worried me but I figured he was busy but eventually make his way around to contacting me. Long story short he was online and active on social media the entire evening and didn’t contact me. So I called him for the first time and he did not answer. I found it strange but again I didn’t want to think the worst so I go to bed. Early morning Saturday I see that’s he is online and still hasn’t contacted me. So at this point I know he saw my phone call and he would normally text me or something but he didn’t. So I just text him “Hey let me know if you changed plans for today”. He still didn’t answer but again he was still active on Instagram. At this point, I’m thinking that he is for sure ignoring me. So I simply texted and said “ I guess you are still keeping your options open. Good luck to you”. And it was when I texted that he immediately responded to my message. He then tells me that he had to do a rain check on the date because he was out of town spontaneously and didn’t check his phone all day. Which is not true lol so I told him no worries, but I think you have made up your mind and I told him good luck again. He says to me alright sorry about that and unfollow me on Instagram.
Did he lose interest?

To me, it sounds like a reconsideration and decided there are better options. 🤷🏻♂️
