So back in June I asked my ex why him and I aren’t together. He said because he didn’t want that with anyone right now. Which this has always been a thing for him I don’t know if he’s afraid of commitment or what?
In September, I had went to go see him; we got into this emotional conversation that he started and he pretty much told me that he doesn’t desire me that and there’s no future for us. I’m dumbfounded and upset because I had asked this very question back in June and his answer was not because he didn’t feel that way because he didn’t want a serious relationship with anyone right now. So I give it the side eye when it’s said way later instead of in the beginning. During this convo he double talked himself saying it’s not that he doesn’t want me but and couldn’t give me a straight answer.
The last few times we’ve met up he’ll comment about me dating and looking for someone else and I don’t know why. But we were texting one time and he said he didn’t want to talk about anything emotional, just do our thing and that’s it. Once again he always brings this same convo about us not being together up for whatever reason. I finally asked him why does he keep doing that and he didn’t give me an answer.
Lastly, he always talks about me being with other guys but last year when I did just that he seemed bothered by it and would bring up this guy at times. I hooked up with said guy but we never kept in contact after that. My ex brought him up 3 different times. I asked him if he’s not bothered or mad why bring him up and he was silent. He did the same thing with another girl started seeing her and slept with her. My other situation came up because I was in a place of hurt and upset and I wanted to take my mind elsewhere.
He seems to double talk himself a lot and not make very much sense. I want a guys’ perspective on what he could be feelings. It’s very confusing and when I try to ask him the hard questions I don’t get an answer. (Please no “drop your ex” stuff)

Sometimes, we guys know that we know and are not emotionally skilled or just am not…no matter how many questions tell you anything.
Sometimes we don’t even know why but there is something that says NO to us. I’ve done that too BUT no contact. I bet every time he sees you “that thing” gets reinforced.
