I am from India pursuing a Ph. D. at one of the top universities in the US.
Back in India I never had a girlfriend, even though was living in the most progressive and modern parts of the country. While it's true that I can be a bit nerdy yet I am not the stereotypical mama's boy kinda Indian guy like you see in the movies or in real life.
I grew up very independently all by myself up to my Masters. I have learned all the necessary life skills like cooking, cleaning, and sewing in parallel to my studies. It's incredibly rare for Indian guys to do so.
However, since I was pursuing higher education and was involved in research, I made a very little bit of money out of scholarships and giving tuition.
In India, almost everyone pursues engineering and starts jobs and earns early just after college or doing business after that. So compared to that I didn't have that much money.
In my personal experience money is the sole factor in dating in India or other conservative countries in Asia. As a guy, none of your other skills matter at all.
Almost every Indian girl cut off contact after hearing my work/status or has seen me only as a friend, a large number of them are even incredibly rude to regular playful conversations.
After coming to the US I have noticed a lot of changes in interaction. Girls are actually nice, they are eager to talk to you, and random one ask you about your day. I have met a fellow Ph. D. student from another department and started dating, she loves the food I make and the stories that I tell.
She is absolutely gorgeous. I am 5'6", she's of the same height, blonde hair, and blue eyes, and her original family is from Sweden. She can beat many models. She is incredibly nice and adventurous. I have never believed a girl whos that pretty can be that nice.
While it is true that girls from conservative countries can fit into stereotypical gender roles and be submissive wives, however as a man you have to be the same super-conservative type.

Because those areas, like Thailand for instance, there seems to be a much higher number of Conservative minded families and women. The Western women are pretty much woke, liberal, and perverse as demonstrated on Socisl Media forums.
No one is arguing that the Western women are not beautiful…
I'm glad you've had a good experience here. There are exceptions to every rule, and it seems you are one of them. Spend a little more time here and the answers to your question will become obvious. In general, western women have significantly reduced their value as women compared to women of the past. They do not offer the same benefits to men anymore. And marrying a western woman is like playing Russian roulette. A man who marries a western woman does so knowing there is a 40% chance she will file for divorce and screw him in divorce court. It is the norm here.
