A modern Western woman mainly only has between the age of eighteen, to about thirty-three, to find a good man out of the hundreds, or thousands, that hit on her and want to be her partner in a relationship with her.

However, the majority of modern Western women spend their 20s sleeping around, engaging in Hookup Culture, thinking they're a 9/10 worthy of 10/10 literally perfect men, treating men less than a 7 in looks and under six feet tall like "trash" and calling them "potential rapists, creeps, incels," etc, and wasting away their youth being spoiled, picky, entitled, and thinking they'll be desirable forever and that 'The Wall' (the age women mostly stop being romantically pursued by men; usually somewhere in their 30s) doesn't exist.

And no, I'm not trying to be "negative" here or bash women. So let's talk about it.

15 years is a long time. if you really are getting "hundreds, or thousands" of offers in those fifteen years then you can afford to be picky and indeed ought to be.

what advice are you offering? "you'd better settle for someone you don't like, or your chances of finding someone you like will dry up!"—if i haven't found someone i liked in these hundreds of offers then i didn't find him no matter what my chances are. if i really start to receive drastically less offers on my 34th birthday i might not notice if i wasn't taking advantage of those offers previously anyway. in fact it might help me filter out a lot of low quality offers. if i could—imagine it like a database—filter it so it only shows me men who are interested in older women, do you think the quality of those men would decrease, increase, or stay the same? i think there's a chance it increases; "i like a man who knows what he likes" and so forth.

look—i understand what you're talking about. there are a lot of things that, as a homosexual, i don't really see, and when i come to GAG they always startle me. it is certainly true that a lot of heterosexual women will have some fixed ideas in their mind about what kind of man they're willing to be with, which have to do with their self-worth. for example, on questions of penis size het women will often give an answer like: "the average is 6 inches"—which is not the average, it's really 5 inches—"so as long as you're above average", or when asked about height they'll say "I'm five-foot something, so as long as you're taller than me." and the reason is that it is, in their mind, a self-worth thing: they consider those things to be average, and they think they deserve more than average, so they say they need a guy who's better than average. this is a very strange and bad concept of self-worth, which at once objectifies your hypothetical partner while making him responsible for your self-worth, and can only lead to dissatisfaction. but the solution is not what you said. they are not actually being picky, because short men or men with small penises are not actually worth less than other men. they are not actually less attractive than other men, nor any worse to have sex with. her criteria do not really select for objectively more adequate "10/10" men. her problem is really that she is prejudiced and wrong and we are licensed only to challenge her on this basis, and because she wants to make her partner responsible for her self-worth in a way that he shouldn't be. her desire, under these conditions, can only be anxious and alienated, and she will always miss what is entirely adequate about these kinds of men. do you understand what i'm saying? even if she does what you say, stops being "picky" and marries a rapist, creep, incel man at the age of 20 it won't fix her problem.

Yes on women spending their time being entitled and picky but no on those being the only years women have to find a good man. It honestly baffled me the men a lot of my older friends been able to get in a relationship with. And I'm not talking about women who still look like models in their 30s or anything, even women with that same entitled attitude at 40.

If she wants to find a good man and get married in those 15 years, then she will definitely spend that time being picky & entitled. You don't want to marry just anyone, you said right there she wants a "good man" to marry. You have to be pretty picky for that.

The women who sleep around a lot in their 20s, are generally not the ones who want to get married before they turn 30, or maybe even at all. There has been a rise in women who plan on never getting married.

But I'm sure there is some overlap and exceptions. I wouldn't say most people plan 15 years in advance about stuff like this. Most people I know are only looking 5 or maybe 10 years ahead.

I couldn't convey fully what I meant in such limited character space, but I meant more so, a large percentage of women in that age range (not all, but a good 40-45% or so) are arrogant, narcissistic, sleep around a lot, and expect impossible male perfection to bed with, instead of a worthy partner who can be a good father and husband to them. Many only "grow up" when they're too old to be desirable by most men, usually 30-something, and by then, the good men have moved on and the only ones left are the desperate simps.

So I don't know a single word or two to describe all of that.

Oh okay, that makes more sense. So you didn't mean that they're picky because they want a good man, but that they think they're perfect and sleep with a lot of perfect men but don't want to get married. I'm not sure i totally understand still, like how a man could be "perfect" if he isn't good enough to marry. But regardless, I do still think that most women who want to get married in the next 5 years, are looking for men to marry. If that's only perfect men, then yes they would be arrogant because they think they're perfect. But I don't know of any women who sleep around with many men they want to marry, instead of just marrying one. The ones who sleep around usually aren't looking to get married soon.

Many of these women will switch from "I don't want to settle down or date anyone" because their career focused to "I want to get married IMMEDIATELY!" like flipping a switch. Again, usually sometime in their early to mid 30s. So they're choosing sexually attractive men (often who end up being scummy or treat them bad) over quality, long-term relationship men with good hearts who aren't necessarily over six feet tall, have abs, or perfect looking faces and bodies.

And these same women then expect the same large number of marriage-material men they dismissed and sh*t-on all throughout their 20s to still be there for them at 34, after these men have moved on and either found GOOD quality women to marry, or left the dating game entirely (as I have) and then whine "where have all the good men gone?" when THESE women, are the ones who pushed them away, but can never admit that, and come up with a million other excuses instead. The hypocrisy, immaturity well into their 30s, and lack of accountability kills me. And yes, it is extremely arrogant and no man could get away with such crappy behavior in today's society.

honestly it’s 18-28, with how much a lot of girls smoke and drink now a days their superpowers start rapidly declining around 25. People want the best for themselves. Unfortunately some people have such unrealistic expectations that they hold out for that super got guy/girl of their dreams only to find themselves in abusive relationships they have trouble getting out of. Even before the hobbit came along I wasn't that type of picky when for the most part I adhere to the definition of the "modern woman."

Certainly, we are highly desirable in our teens and early twenties. However, it is not because young women are entitled that prevents them from getting married. It is primarily because most men date down for sex but only one in ten to twenty will marry down.

Young women want the best they get. Therefore, they tend to accept dates from the hottest guys that will date them and reject guys within their league. Also, even when they know that most are not very logical. Ignoring the twenty that don't marry up, they notice the one girl that did marry up and believe they can also marry up.

A woman can look good at any age, if she takes care of herself, has a good skincare routine and of course good genes, exercises, eats a healthy diet... My mom is in her 40's and looks much younger in her age... I honestly don't get the ageism on this forum, not sure if this is strictly an American thing, (I've noticed that people there are obsessed with youth and guys tend to be attracted to extremely young, or babyfaced women like Selena Gomez Jenna Ortega, Ariana Grande) or it has to do with members of this particular site

It's just a fact of life. A woman can say she refuses to date men under six feet tall and no one calls it Heightism (even if that's what it is.) But a guy says he doesn't want to date a 40 year old woman who can't give him (his own) children, and it's "ageism" or some crap. My personal age range for women is 23 to 30, so I'm not part of the "babyface, 18 year old girls" group of guys you're referring to.

Almost NOBODY calls them shallow, except men like me, and most women, including you, will criticize us and call us "sexist, misogynist, incels" for calling out their extreme shallowness and arrogance. That's the problem; nobody calls out shallow women for being shallow.

And I said 23 to 30 because mentally, I'm like a 26 year old and don't act or feel my age. 36, to me, is old as hell; that's like men with mortgages and 401K's. I had a late start in life and I'm not balding at this point, so I want someone who I can relate to more than a 35-40 year old woman. Most women in their 20s tend to complain about men int heir 20s being immature and "f*ckboys" anyway, which I'm not.

And on any other site, even the slightest criticism against certain women, will get you banned for "sexist comments" even though these same women can laugh about male suicides and depression or tell conservative men to go kill themselves and it's permitted. GAG is this way because it has less censorship and less non-progressive bias than most other social media sites out there, like Reddit, Facebook, or Twitter. I'm not saying that makes it "right" but at least here you get to hear both sides of the arguments, instead of a giant far-left echo chamber.

What is true is that there are 15 years between ages 18-33 but just because a woman turns 33, that doesn't mean her time is up. Hell, I'm 45 and just now got engaged. Marriage shouldn't define anybody, it doesn't define me. A woman doesn't need to get married to be worth something in society.
