Would you date someone who got out of a relationship with there baby mother or father 2-3 months ago?

I met this guy he’s really nice but I just found out he got out of a relationship with his son’s mother 3 months ago should I still try and get to know him more or cut him off? If I deal with guys who have kids I usually only deal with them if they have not been seeing the child’s mother for at least a year or 2 just to make sure I’m not wasting my time

No. You're right with "at least a year or so". It's only been months since they broke up and there's a possibility they'd reconcile for the sake of their child. Even if you met him after they broke up, they still are in a level of fresh wounds. If people will know about you, they'll eventually label you as the side chick who broke the family.
