My boyfriend and I were chatting last night about random stuff, he asked me a silly question, he actually does that a lot and I said you’re always asking me immature questions. He kind of laughed and said I’m messing with you. He then said shut up. I got extremely annoyed and said that’s so rude.

He said he was joking and didn’t mean it in a rude way and that it was banter. I’m still pissed off about it I told him he is rude and has no manners. He’s apologised a few times but I’m still mad at him.

How did I overreact? I feel like he was rude and I’ve told him before he says rude things and he always says he doesn’t mean to but it’s common sense to anyone. Just cause he apologised doesn’t take away that he said it and started a fight

He does ask stupid questions so I call him out on it. He’s on a diet so he hasn’t eaten any bad food this week so his question was “are you proud of me” like that’s so childish. Even if he’s being silly it’s annoying

your own damn fault for being with someone as immature as him. The woman i love is with a guy who's immature really immature and sometimes I feel embarrassed for her being seen with him. he humiliates himself in public and for the life of me i don't know how she puts up with it or why she does

If there is a list of things you like about him, then him just asking you "silly" questions shouldn't bother you THIS much. Him asking "are you proud of me" is enough to set you off? Really? I'm sure you do things that annoy him, too, but he doesn't make a big deal about it.

I'm assuming you have told him he's "immature" countless times before just for not being as serious as YOU feel he should be. Have you taken into consideration that he told you to "shut up" because he's hurt that you are constantly getting annoyed with him... Simply just for being himself?

Well he said he said shut up in a joking way , trying to be funny but I told him I don’t find him funny at all and it’s not a joke. He’s been rude before like that even if he doesn’t think he’s being rude, it annoys me he keeps doing things to annoy me like that. And now we’re fighting and I’m pissed off becausd of him. He said sorry but it doesn’t change what happened. I have only called him immature when he actually is being immature I’m not going to lie to him. I wasn’t even that annoyed about him asking that questions it’s telling me to shut up when I wasn’t in a joking mood is what annoyed me, it’s rude

I'm sure your constant nagging and acting as if you're better than he does get to him.

You can disagree with his sense of humor, but people don't change- that's how he is. You just have to accept that about him or you need to find someone who you're more compatible with.

It wasn’t even the question that annoyed me the most , it was him saying shut up and then he didn’t understand that just because he says he was joking doesn’t mean it’s not rude to say and he tried to argue that fact and eventually apologised cos he knew I was right. Saying shut up isn’t funny. He made the argument worse by trying to say he didn’t mean for it to be rude , he just get it so I got more pissed off and now I’m ignoring his texts. He apologised again by text today and I haven’t answered I’m too pissed off

Cool was trying to ask from a different perspective to see if I’m in the wrong! I’ve told him he overreacted but he doesn’t see it and says I’m in the wrong and started the fight. How do I make him see my point of view?

He normally stays mad for a week after any fight even when I’ve apologised , we live together so it makes it kind of hostile so I’d rather fix it
