Why am I attracted to controlling men is it okay?

I've been seeing this guy and when we went on a date he squeezed my hand hard it hurt a little and it was weird cause i was confused why I'm not bothered by it. It felt good. He also took my phone from me so I didn't look at it while we talked and he would give it back when i asked and then I'd give it back to him. I know some people would think it's weird but i liked it. I have never had a boyfriend so this is very new feeling for me. I just wanted him to take the reigns and open the door for me and buckle me in and control me. I don't know really why i feel like this cause I've heard most woman like independence and being freedom but it is comforting when he tells me yes or no or gives me permission.
