Should you ever be afraid of what your partner thinks of you? Especially if you are dealing with an mental illness?

I have a friend who's afraid to tell her boyfriend that she develop extreme anxiety especially around sick people. She stills wears a mask and protects herself from covid-19 but her sex drive has been on the low end for a couple of months. She doesn't want to tell her boyfriend because she's afraid on how he will act and doesn't want to make him upset?

I'm just frustrated because it's just a simple talk and nothing else, well for me at least. I'm not ashamed when I have issues, I will gladly ask for help but she's not it's almost as if she ashamed by it. Any advice I tried my best but she won't do it and keeps making lies to her boyfriend. 😕😕😕
