Do any of you have a single friend that has waayy to high of standards when it comes to dating? Have/would you ever tell them? Should they be told?

I have a friend on here that fits that description perfectly. He wants a girlfriend so bad but his standards are to high. He is actually quite ugly and not very intelligent, which I think might have something to do with his behavior. I actually call him, "a slow witted walrus". I know, it's cruel but he pisses me off! He's 31, still a virgin and embarrasses himself on here constantly. He calls some of the prettiest girls on here, "my mommy" or "my queen". It's actually quite sad but comical. They're all repulsed by him but he's to stupid to realize it! I tried fixing him up with a girl, though on the heavy side, she was very nice but of course she wasn't "good enough" for him. So, this morning he wrote a question picking on fat girls! The other day he was picking on Mormons. Do any of you have a friend like this? Do you tell them they need to lower their standards? I would hate to see him be alone his whole life.

Based on the description you just gave, your friend need to do way more than lower his standards. He needs a total revaluation of his life values and attitude. Cause with that kind of personality he could look like a Greek God and still be single forever.
I guess I'm fortunate I don't have a friend like this. But then again, in my friend circle, I'm the perpetually single one.

Good luck but it sounds like an ego that needs to bottom out first. Crash and burn from repeated failure. Maybe they ultimately like the single and social vibe. I know a woman who is like that at 45 and has never married. Not the thelife I would want

He definitely doesn't wanna be single, he just can't accept the fact he's kind of a loser. He actually thinks girls are attracted to him. I'm thinking that will ever change.

I do have a couple people I know who are like that. If they keep dragging things out too long then I do think I will eventually have to have a talk with them.

I'm sure you'll find the right way to tell them and remain friends. My friend wants nothing to do with me! I haven't received a nude from him in over two weeks. He even changed his profile pic. He knew how much I loved his old one. I looked at your pic for about 3 hrs last night. I hope that isn't too weird but it always makes me feel better.
