What does taking it slow mean for a guy?

Heyy so I (F 23) met this amazing guy who is (M 25) recently. We went on a great date where we could talk for hours and vibe very well. This past weekend I stayed over at his house, we had pizza, played video games and watched movies. It was overall a very good weekend. I have this off feeling that maybe he doesn’t really feel the same towards me. We both agreed to take things slow before working up to a relationship. That is very reasonable but I just have anxiety and maybe I’m overthinking. Please help!!! Thank you!!

Taking is slow means that he wants to get to know you and make sure that you two are a good fit before committing to a relationship. There is nothing wrong with that and a good way to do it. It is the same thing that I do before getting serious.

That just gives you time to really feel each other out and get to know likes, dislikes, personalities, etc. before saying "yes, this is the right guy/girl for me". You don't want to rush into it and find out that it was wrong for you or for him. Breakups suck so it can be avoided by taking things slowly.

Now, if you have good conversation and have fun together, I would not worry about the way he feels about you. You are likely overthinking this and it is just in your head. Don't worry. He would not spend time with you if he did not enjoy it. All you can do is just keep seeing each other and start building those steps to something more serious.

I'm confused. You spent the weekend at his house? That legit does NOT sound like taking it slow -- even if you didn't have sex.

In my book, taking it slow means getting to know each other but not intimacy -- a weekend together (even without sex) seems remarkably intimate and although it is get to know you, it's kinda on steroids and fast.
