I told my friends I hooked up with this girl and one of them seemed annoyed at me. Does he have a crush on her?

When I told my friends everyone was happy about it and asked me about it besides one who seemed annoyed I was talking about it. then later he told our friend that the girl I hooked up with is so nice and how he’s worried she's going to look bad and wish I’d stop talking about it.

But why does he seem to care so much? Does he like her? I mean if he didn’t then why does he seem annoyed and make those comments?
