Why do guys care about height so much?

Because most adult women in real life don’t care how tall or short you are. Yes I’ll admit I enjoy having a guy taller than me but that’s just my submissiveness talking. I've dated many guys on the shorted end of the spectrum and height didn’t matter to me at all. I loved them for them. Not something so superficial.

So to all short fellas out there you are loved and appreciated xx

Why don't you make a fake tinder account as a guy, say you're 5'9" and seem how many times you get rejected based on height alone. hell use a white pic and see how many white girls reject their own skin tone cause they have a black/Mexican fetish.

And yes weither you want to believe or not, there are a lot of size queens on the apps too, they'll reject you based on a pic before they've even tried riding it.

Yes some guys are too worried about what shallow women have to say but for you too pretend like shallow hoes with unrealistic standards don't exist is annoying, yes more guys need to be willing to call a girl on their bullshit instead of getting insecure, but the bullshit is real. Plenty of bottom of the barrel girls that aren't perfect themselfs, be it overweight, a single mother to multiple kids from multiple baby daddy's, or just a jobless bum expecting a new guy to show up and pay her way. Plenty of dumpster fires that think they are trophy wife material that refuse to "settle" for an average guy, and for some reason far too many men are heart broken by it instead of realizing they just dodged a bullet.

The topic about height steams outside the realm of just dating. Its a cultural thing. Height is viewed as a masculine trait in a lot of cultures just as physical strength is seen as a masculine trait. Tall is seen as ideal. It’s pressure that is not put on just in dating pools but in society/cultural norms. I didn't know height was a thing in the dating world until a couple of years ago. But i did know about it as a cultural thing my whole life. And its not women that care about it as much as other men

A relative of mine is shorter than I am, 5'2". He owns his own oil research company, has a great sense of humor and is a wonderfully wise and humorous man. His wife is at least 8 inches taller than him. He is full of life and fun. Why miss out on good things because of stereotypes? Only cuts out options.

I've never been turned down for being too short (5'2)... I suppose if a man DOES care about height it's because he'd prefer to be taller than his mate...

You are VERY mistaken - height is one of the top 3 concerns that women have about potential partners. It's a HUGE deal for most women, FAR more than it is for men. Only 15% of men are 6 feet tall or taller, yet more than 70% of women surveyed (over dozens of surveys in the US, Canada, and the UK).

Most men prefer to be taller then the woman, but most men don't make that a requirement, and they don't target any particular height. It's women who do that.

I think its because you see on some dating profiles that if a guy is not 6 feet tall, 6 inches long, and doesn't make 6 figures he should just give up. Part of why the dating apps are trash.. On dating apps, and this is a fact backed by science, Women only go for the top 5% of men, as if they deserve the top 5%.

The only thing i have ever heard from women in real life say about how tall a man is, she wants him to be taller than her. Which is a really easy thing to do since most men are taller than most women. So in this respect i agree with you. In real life height does not matter nearly as much. Its the dating apps that are just terrible for men and women a like. Dating apps make men feel like they will never be good enough, and fill women with a false sense of worth. My suggestion is do what i did. Stick to real life.

I’m a short guy, I’m not self-conscious about it, and have had no trouble with dating. I still think you’re talking nonsense a little bit.

You said adult women don’t care how tall a guy is, but then you say you prefer a taller man. That’s why men care about height. If you really wanted to convince them you should have left the second part out.

Plus, if a short guy is complaining because he can’t get a girlfriend, you say he’s loved and appreciated - but by who? If he can’t get a girlfriend he has no girlfriend who loves and appreciates him, and you don’t either because you don’t know the guy.

Most women don't care how tall you are? Wrong , most women do not share your opinion and care very much about height. Especially here in Southern California, they are very superficial. I don't know how many women's dating profiles I've seen where they say "must be 6 feet or taller", or even worse "must be taller than me in heels". When I used to go out with my friends to the bars, I looked like the coach of a fucking basketball team. I'm 5'7" and a few of them are 6'4". The women would be too busy gawking like schoolgirls at my tall friends to even notice me. So no, short guys are not loved or appreciated nearly as much as tall guys. Because we know that women are more attracted to taller men. It is a biological thing. The species needs to continue so people will naturally focus on things that attract the opposite gender. Think of it this way: why do women focus on their physical attractiveness so much. They know that is what gets men.
