I'm a very shy and anxious guy and am always worried about appearing creepy or weird so I never really talk to girls that much. This semester however I've been trying to come out of my bubble and there is this one girl in one of my classes that immediately caught my attention the first day of class. We played a game where we all had to guess who wrote something about themselves and she consistently guessed me (despite there being 30+ other studens in the class) made eye contact with me, was very chatty and smiled the entire time. Since then we haven't talked much because the class doesn't really have much room for that but I've caught her glancing my way a few times. Dunno if it's because the clock is behind me or something else lol. We did talk a few times for a few moments throughout the semester, and each time we've made each other laugh. I also noticed that when I stay after class to talk to the professor she does too, at first I thought it was coincidence and it may very well be but I have noticed that whenever I stay she does and when I don't she doesn't. The other day I saw her in the hall and smiled and waved at her, she returned the gesture but carried on walking and started looking at her phone despite us being the only two in the area.
I don't really know if I'm looking too much into this or if there is something there and I'm just being a dumbo. Should I try asking for her number next week, if so how should I go about it? I don't want to bother her if it's nothing, but at the same time I'd hate to miss out if it is something.
