Girls do you say you have a boyfriend to get a guy whos interested in you to go away?

Usually I do online dating but anytime I ask a girl for her number in person this is her excuse. I think they just say they have one even if they don't.

Now with that being said this thought literally just crossed my mind. Girls are rarely ever single, usually they end things with one guy and then go onto another one they've been talking too casually. Not all, but I think many times this is the case, but I probably wouldn't want to date a girl like that anyways that monkey branches from guy to guy.

So I haven't used this excuse when single, but even now it sometimes is like the only "excuse" that really works. If I ever say anything else some people just dont stop, but if you for some reason you involve your man, they stay far. I wonder why me not being interested is not enough?

I'm not one of those guys who won't take no for an answer. I have thought about giving her my number instead in case her situation changes, she could hit me up. For the girl who claims she has a boyfriend.

I have approached girls where I could tell they were nice and probably did really have a boyfriend. Like one time I approached a girl at the grocery store and we chatted for 5 or 6 minutes and her friend even came up to her about a minute in to "save her" but her friend left us alone for a few minutes to talk. This girl didn't mention her boyfriend until I actually asked for her number. It's times like that where instead of me wishing her good luck in her relationship that I would have offered up my number instead.

I’ve haven’t used this excuse, but I know a couple of girls who have. My more mature friends will usually tell the truth.

I'd rather they say they aren't interested then they have a boyfriend. I'd move on regardless, but when they say they have a boyfriend it doesn't necessarily say they wouldn't be interested in the guy if they didn't have a boyfriend Make sense?

Yeah most girls do that and are rarely single at least the attractive ones and they usually don’t take much of a break between guys like you said since they always have options. It’s like you have to catch them during that short span between relationships

I think women are more likely to need someone too where a guy doesn't really care if they're single. This isn't always the case though

Yeah they don’t go long without but guys don’t want to either it’s just not as easy

Some girls actually have boyfriends. Some use that excuse so they don't hurt your feelings

If they told the truth the guy could maybe ask why and then fix what they don't like if he notices a common trend of them not liking something

Does it matter? She either does have a boyfriend, or is lying about it. But either way your response needs to be the exact same thing.

I do have a boyfriend so it’s not an excuse but otherwise no I say the truth, I’ll say sure or sorry no.

In most case they do. Just to get the guy who hassles them to do so.
