What does he mean when he says he doesn’t like skinny?

So the guy I’m seeing told me he doesn’t like skinny girls. I’ve been gaining weight for years and he was happy to find out that I’m gaining weight because he doesn’t like skinny girls. I found a picture of his recent ex and the girl was really really skinny. We are both skinny except she’s really pretty, flat chested and no butt. I’m skinny with some curves and small/medium boobs around 32D. Since we met he went on and on about how he likes thicker women and curvy but his ex is clearly skinny. How does that make sense?

Sometime we get hooked up with someone who isn't our type. For lack of better options we stay with it until something better comes along... His ex was "skinny" and that might be why she is his "ex". It actually makes perfect sense.
