Does he really want to see me again?

hi guys. i need your advices. i'm 27 and he's 39. we met once last June last year in monaco. He lives in Dubai. When we first met, we kissed. I never text him first, sometimes he texts me asking how I'm doing and I reply, that's all. A week ago he sent me a voice message and said: "I hope you are well, how is your family, I hope to see you very soon, let me know". Then I replied to him: "Thanks, I'm fine, I hope you are too. I come to Dubai in July with my friends for my birthday, and I hope to see you again”. then he heard my voice message immediately but till today he has not responded. Why so? Does he really want to see me again?

Considering you never text first I'd assume he's thinking the same about you. If he's the one who's always reaching out to you, that would appear to him that there's not mutual interest between you both.

If one person always initiates contact they'll eventually lose interest.

Words mean nothing if your actions don't correlate. Most people will assume a person is disinterested in them or indifferent towards them if they always have to initiate contact.

You don't need to be in a relationship with someone in order to text first. If you want to see him again or if you still want to keep in contact with him you'd need to put more effort in or he'll eventually stop texting you.

I would be very carefully with long distance relationships like this. Especially when he isn't replying anytime soon. You don't wanne end up falling completely in love and find out he has other girls in his life aswell besides you. That would be very painfull

If you are going to Dubai anyways you can try to meet him. But when you do make sure your friends now at all times where you are if you wanne have quality time with him alone and be careful with the strict rules over there because Dubai is a nice place to be, but the country isn't very woman-friendly. Especially with expressing love in public areas and dressing semi-nude. Woman don't have a lot of freedom there so be careful with that and make sure you go there educated about the rules. Also make sure that you try to get as much information about him while you there because the way I see your situation is that it's very risky dating with foreigners. Especially for you being a woman. You don't wanne fall in the wrong hands so to speak

The reason for it seems to be lack of interest if you would ask me. If really really like someone you aren't going to ignore that persons messages right? Im not sure how long ago you send your message but if days go by without an answer I would definitely consider it lack of interest

@sunsi. Without knowing what he does. He may have a good reason that he hasn’t responded. Maybe he doesn’t know his schedule for July or some other legitimate reason.
Best not to get head over heels on this guy. Since this is a long distance relationship.
Live your life as you would if you never met him. Treat him as a passing acquaintance and if he reaches out. Then answer him.
Don’t put your life on hold for this guy!
