Why girls get angry when men date younger women , but when they are young they only wanna date guys with much resources?

Almost every girl I have known so far only wanted to date men with much more resources. Cars, own apartments, bikes, money, guys who can afford to go to clubs and pubs regularly. It's not like only prettier girls do it, average to below-average girls do the exact same.

I have heard from girl-friends that they want provider types of men. As they are young, they want to have as much fun as possible. I grew up poor, never had anything cool and I still am a doctoral student. I get rejected/ghosted always and it's almost always for not making money like other guys of my age.

Now, if I ever am able to make a good amount of money in the future (Scientists don't make a lot of money). Why will I want to date an average-looking older girl then? It's not like no one like me in my struggling period or finds me any other qualities besides not making much money attractive. Even the girl I had a brief relationship with during my Master's left me for a little older but very rich guy with expensive cars/apartments. Even though I took care of her while she was sick.

A lot of men may face the same situations if they are from poor families, even looking attractive as a man takes a lot of money.

I’ve never dated a man for their resources. Nor have any of my friends. I only see that with the military and on social media. But then again when I was school, students would date other students because we knew each other and were all working towards the same goals.

I feel disgusted when men date teenagers and naive young women, not someone who is just younger. Why? Because I remember getting hit on by grown men when I was 14-17 and I didn’t like it. Even after telling them my age they’d still follow and harass me. They wanted sex and someone young to manipulate.

Early college years my friends, acquaintances, and I were always creeped out by older men 28+ purposely going for us and trying to bribe us with money and shopping. Our thoughts “Why us?” “Is there a reason he can’t get someone his own age?”

Plenty of poor men date and are married. I don't know why people continue to try to make that as an excuse.

Men are expected to pay , ask a question here and you will see how many women will despise men or will never contact the guy for second date if they have to pay anything on the dates. Apart from women from few areas , everywhere it's the same. Although I wasn't talking about underage girls about dating young. I have seen so many of girls dating men over forty or thirty in college, or dating men from rich families with same age. A large section of women do the same , you just don't want to take responsibilities.

Cari g about intelligence is mostly a lie. The most desirable ones that gets celebrated, are always either pretty or rich. But I do agree to have seen some women caring about intelligence. Although, never when they were young. Some women just care about the money that intelligence may bring in future , not the intelligence itself.

A lot of women pick an older guy as they want to settle down and have a family. For example, if a woman is 32 and has a boyfriend of the same age, he may be in no hurry to marry or have kids. He might keep her hanging on for many years. By contrast, a guy who is 42 could be more prepared to take responsibility and make a commitment.

I don't think women always get angry when men date somewhat younger women. They only get angry if the man cheats or abandons his previous partner.

When I was 15, I chatted with a man who I thought to be 22, we grew very friendly to each other and at some point he started sexting with me.

And just in general I think it's disgusting when men go for women that are much younger than them especially if the woman is still a teen/early 20s and doesn't know what she's getting herself into. @Avicenna in the real world 😆 nah I think it's just where I grew up and lived most of the guys there did not go to college they went straight into working decent jobs blue collar jobs. My best friends husband is a lineman only took like a year of schooling then he started making good money was able to afford a house/cars/kids.
Like really younger guys that have decent jobs have more options cause a woman wants a man to grow with. Not one that she's just gonna hop into a life that's already formed for her

It’s good that they’re doing that (a lot of guys have gotten wide to the student loan debt trap). But if they’re single at 36, they’ll have even more options.

It should be that a woman wants a man to grow with, but while that works for most young adults, it doesn’t for women in their 30s and older.

And don’t underestimate the young women dating older guys- they usually know why they’re doing that.

And ehhh I've seen a lottt of tiktoks of women that dated older men that are now claiming that they are victims of grooming so obviously a lot of times it doesn't work out unless everyone past 30 then age doesn't matter as much

You’d be surprised then how many people are happy with flings or shorter term relationships (if you can call them that). In many cases it’s people who have been divorced.
Grooming as you define it is not age-dependent. It’s done by people of all ages (including young women) and can certainly be done by people around their victim’s age.

Never dated a guy for resources. I have dated older guys though. It’s more a sense of protection. If he has a good job. Great will not complain. As no guy will probably be making more then me unless there is a couple examples. I have a major crush on this one guy. I don’t really want to say what he does but he does have a nice job. Gold diggers are high numbers but there are many girls, that don't go after men primarily because he has money to squander on them.

As for them getting angry when old men date teenage girls? I can only think of either the disgust of using each other for something or jealousy, that they could not do the same.
