My boyfriend is 37 and his parents answer his cell phone is this a red flag?

OK then maybe they just do it as a courtesy when he's busy. Though I would think he'd keep it with him instead of leaving it laying around.

What? They don't know he's seeing you? That is just weird. Why would he have to stand up to his parents because he's dating you? I would think they'd be happy he was seeing someone.

I don't know i thought the same, but im guessing he's with with his family. he always says how he's not afraid of anyone but his actions with his parents and other stuff dont make any sense.

he told me how they were when his sister turned 18 and with her first boyfriend, that his parents made her first partnr feel awkward and uncomfortable and he left and never came back and he doesn't want to risk that happening to him, so he just hides his relationship from them

i told him what would would your dad say if i asked where he was, and he just said i dont know how hed react. i told him i just hung up and that he didn't see my face cause the phone was laying down, he asked me if i saw his dad and i said barely just half his face and he laughed at that.

we both live in california, but he is mexican. his sister lives 5 minutes away but they see each other very very often too.

Yes. If this bothers you he should move on. It's not going to get any better with you if something so innocuous bothers you.
