I sent a message to a guy on Hinge who was an acquaintance. He may/may not have rejected my message, but he is not the most active on social media?

I sent a like and a message to a guy on Hinge. He was an acquaintance of mine around 15-16 years ago. He was friends with my brother, but I think they have just lost touch because they have their own lives and are busy. I saw his profile on Hinge, read his prompts and answers, and thought he was really funny. I remembered him as being sarcastic but nice when I knew him, and so I responded to a video he posted (where he’s making fun of himself) with a joke. I haven’t received a response yet. Then again, he hasn’t been active on social media, but we follow each other on Instagram and are Facebook friends.

At this point, I can’t see his Hinge profile, and I’m wondering if he hasn’t responded or if he blocked me/rejected me entirely. Or if Hinge just removes profiles of people who you message? I don’t know.
