I think it's important to have "your" standards. What subjects those standards are subject to may deserve a bit of flexibility. I never had a cookie cutter image of who would be most appealing to me and it has served me well.

People should they highest standards they can get away with while still being able to actually get dates. The problem many women have today is that they think they are higher value than they actually are, and those women are the ones who either recognize their mistake when they are too old to have the options they had when they were younger, or they end up sad and alone, as you said.
Somehow…both husbands have what I am looking for. Quality men. Go for what you want. Don’t settle for less…also be realistic. Age matters in this case.
Women have the highest standards in so called dating 6 feet 6 inch d 6 figures 666 number of the devil Don't scream where are the good men when you only look for 666 Facts
Having fair standards is what is necessary. If the standards are gonna be high then they have to be a reflection of the current life you live and not what you want
Unless your great at relationships with others why stress on dating selectivity standards. There's a thing about melding together as you two adjoin in a relations with each other. No such thing as push button perfection.
If you set your standards too high, you set yourself up for disappointment.

The higher the standards, the lower the chance of you finding a partner especially if those standards are not reciprocal to what you can bring to the table.
Who is to say what is high, and what are low standards?

I think a low standard is saying I'm willing to date literally anyone. Let's hope you have some parameters that say preclude you from dating like a known serial rapist. That's a dramatic example, but that is still "a" standard.

I think women probably should, at the very least.
Yup. I won’t date/marry just anyone. Granted, no one is perfect, but at the same time, I won’t settle just because I’m tired of being single.
I do feel that way. But most just when it comes to compatibility. I need a woman who I can resonate with when it comes to core beliefs and values.
Having high standards is fine but
1) you should try to meet those standards yourself too.
2) you need to actively meet people. Try new things, go new places, meet new people.

No. I just have some standards that are flexible and some that are rigid but none are particularly high.
Make do with what you have available. And last time I checked if you keep raising the bars less and less people available to marry
Its not wrong to prioritise your emotions in dating instead of going around with a shopping list.
Having high standar is fine but u also need to be high quality person , so it would be realistic.
What? Lol.. nothing wrong with having standards weeds out the bad apples. Rather be alone than with someone who does and has the bar minimum
*bare
It's important to have high, but realsitic standards.
I only require that a woman be as intelligent as an adult dog and a baddie
