Yesterday I was happily giving my boyfriend a hug in the bed (cuddling) and talking about how I wanted a pretty color stone for an engagement ring either pink or purple and that I didn’t care about the wedding ring lol and I was so happy until he said “man I can’t wait to go to work tomorrow “ He told me that it was because he was in his room for 3 weeks sick which makes sense but my mind keeps on thinking that he doesn’t want to hang out with me anymore because if you are with me cuddling why are you thinking about how excited you are to go back to work? Am I just overthinking?

I've seen this sort of stuff so many times. Such comments are quite subtle and easily explained away. And they are easy to be used to make you think you are in the wrong! I'd say that comment is a big warning sign because it completely disregards your presence, who you are to him, the time being spent together. It is also completely insensitive. In the multitude of ways that a person tells you who they are... be sure to always listen. For ultimately, the fruit that falls from a mouth always points to the health of the tree.

Surely if he was just tired of being sick and at home, he would still be glad to have someone to spend that time with? What his response suggests is that while you were talking to him, he was only thinking about himself. This is common with compulsive thought. You did not have his attention.

Is an unhealthy position to be in and when this happens, that person is placed on a pedestal. Thus he starts to take you for granted. Often when we forget God... we are more likely to place another on a pedestal too.

The remark was not made at a good time but he probably is going stir crazy being home like that. It’s not something I would ever say though. I rather be cuddling my woman instead if I had one

He claims that I was overreacting and that he doesn’t prefer to work over me. But what made me also feel bad was that when he saw me he didn’t seem that happy and claimed that he was tired. I can’t tell if I am overthinking what do you think? I always feel like I love him more but I sometimes forget
