She said ofcourse > than i joked or maybe more like a date> she said it would be inapropriate neither now or in the future. And i wrote maybe we can disscues about it she said no discussion and said have a nice weekend. Next week i go to work how i not destroy my relationship with her and get clean from this situation? It would’ve looked better if you dropped the topic after you first mentioned coffee. Even mentioning “as coworkers” was fine. Everything after that seems to have made her uncomfortable and I don’t blame her, tbh. I’d say not to reach out anymore aside from work related questions. When she comes back, see how things are with her but don’t be pushy. I get that you’re eager to put this behind you but unfortunately what’s done is done, you can’t take back the confession and what followed.
Ah man, that sucks dude. I guess you were just trying to be funny but it came off weird. Your manager is probably just trying to be professional since she's leaving.
I wouldn't bring it up again when you go back to work. Just act normal and don't make any other jokes about going out. Show her you can still work together professionally until she's gone. Maybe do a good job for the next few weeks so she leaves on a good note.
Once she's left you can forget about it. Don't stress too much - just don't make it weird the rest of the time she's there. She said all good so as long as you keep it work-related you should be fine. Live and learn I guess!
