u the "vibe" does exist just... but sometimes it's just temporary, other times it's always there... sometimes is very much there and real, other times just perceived...
think of the difference between personality and character, both seem to be the same sometimes but they just aren't, no matter how closely and intricate they are with one another, these are different things
these "vibes" people speak of are even more convoluted, lol... and they do involve both people, and both of their circumstances and a few more things
for example... you can have a guy or a girl who are very very quiet or they keep to themselves so to you they might not seen approachable, or they seem too serious, even arrogant and that might be the "vibe" that you perceive from them at the moment but... once his or her friends are present or show up, you can see this guy or girl come to life, act more openly and confident, more comfortable and do show more of how they truly are and can be, around others... so their "vibe" does change and how you will perceive them will change as well
If you act abnormal you are going to trigger people's survival instincts. People are even be hostile towards you if you speak differently because that is human instinct.
Everyone gives off certain vibes/energy about themselves
