I feel like its a bit of a red flag if his girlfriend's female friendships threaten a guy...

I know there are caveats to this statement such as some girls being jealous of their friend's relationship and wanting to ruin things, but this is only in extreme cases.

The reason why so many people are lonely at older ages after their relationships deteriorate is because they did not spend enough time curating their friendships.

You're born into your family so they owe you a duty of care from birth, your lover will choose you based on how much you match their criteria (nothing wrong with this). But friendships that are born from purity lack the superficialness that can be found in other relationships, a friend will choose you for your soul, if you lose and arm or gain 20lbs+ a friend will keep being a friend, this is not always the case for romantic relationships.

No one should be made to feel bad for loving or cherishing their platonic friendships.

There's a balance between these relationships, and they do not overlap. I won't ditch a call with my boyfriend to take one from any of my friends unless it was an emergency. If my boyfriend is calling while I'm on the line ornhanging with a friend, it's as simple as taking a minute to answer and see if he's OK, letting him know what I'm doing and then hang up if it's not important.

We both give eachother the freedom and space to spend time with friends as those relationships are important to maintain, but we do not deny eachother either. That's something neither of is would tolerate

When you are married, your spouse should be the most important person in your life. Dating is like an audition, a chance to see how the other person treats you, how the two of you work together.

If she wants to spend more time with her friends, that's fine; I encourage that. But if we are in the middle of something together and she cuts it short to go be with her friends. . . that shit ain't gonna fly! She can do that, and I'll use the free time to start looking for a new girlfriend. I'm not going to be there for her just when it's convenient for her.

It's not a question of "more" or "less", it's a question of whether she will make room in her life for me. I wouldn't want her to drop her friends or activities she enjoys. I likely enjoy activities that don't interest her and I expect her to understand that I'm not always available. It's simple: never make someone a priority if you are only an option.

Partners come before friends, but you shouldn't completely neglect your friends just because you're in a relationship either. A healthy balance is best. Yes! If it became a pattern I would view our relationship from a third persons perspective and realize I'm just being used by someone who'll never prioritize me. That would end the relationship emediately.

That said, I can understand prioritizing ones friends depending on situation. Maybe the friend has a crisis or about to get married or similar such that warrents extra attention.
