Is it odd to be hyper and excited around my boyfriend?

I (19F) get really hyper and excited when im with my boyfriend (23M) cuz i can be myself and ik he won't judge me. He gives the same back. We can be in his car driving and all of a sudden out nowhere i start dancing. Then i stop and act like it never happened and then he joins in and we both start dancing. Not to long ago we went to the mall and we’re both gaming nerds and he knows that Pokemon is my weakness and i won't be able to stop talking about it. I have a happy dance i do when im so hyoer and excited. I talk really fast as well. And he just smiles at me while im like that. I asked my friends from work and they said it was weird and pretty stupid. But i feel relly comfortable with him and i can let go yk. I just dont know if it is odd or something. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What are the downsides tho? Cuz im not like this with my 3 girlfriends at work only with my boyfriend when he and i are together by ourselves which we often are cuz we’re both introverts.

I get that way too whenever I meet good friends that I haven't seen in a long time. I get hyper-energetic like a little kid, and I was also like that when I used to date.

I always thought it's an extrovert thing. I test as quite the extrovert on Big-Five, Jung, MBTI, etc. I get super energetic when I go out and see people, especially people I like very much.

Thing is that im an introvert and i have 3 close friends at work who i dont hang out with outside if work. My boyfriend and i introverts big time and I've never acted this way with my 3 girlfriends at work only with my boyfriend so I don't know if its odd

Oh, that's curious. I always thought it had to do with extroversion that we get energized this way. Maybe just being in love? I think when we love someone very much, we get comfortable exposing our goofiest side. I find it unleashes my inner child that wants to jump on beds. I don't have to worry about being judged negatively when we love each other and can share everything.

I don't see any downsides to it if you enjoy each other's company. The one thing I'd caution is just to make sure to switch back to grown up mode if you two ever have a dispute so that you can smooth things out rather than get in a heated argument. But as long as you can do that, I'd say you should embrace and have a blast with that energy.

Its normal whenever we buy new toys to play so at the beginning we always get excited 😂😂
