Hi guys , I'd like to have an opinion about this situation with a young girl (she is 29, I'm 43 ), I'll try to be very schematic :
- I met a girl at a public gathering with other people
- This girl is very outgoing and quite warm in general
- However, I noticed that she has developed a certain admiration for me, complimenting me on my humor, culture, and depth
- In addition to asking for my Instagram contact, which she also asked others for, on the way home she explicitly asked for my phone number
- She also mentioned that she's pleased we live nearby
- I'm not sure if it was a joke, but for my birthday, she said that since neither of us likes to celebrate, we could have a drink together
- When saying goodbye, she said, 'You have my number..."
- I contacted her the next day and she seemed quite enthusiastic. I suggested we meet, and she gladly accepted, but mentioned she had an exam and then a weekend away in the current week, but she said she'd be very happy to meet the following week
- she contacted me next day on Instagram for tell me something fun, and I replied but no response from her
- I messaged her on Saturday morning, but she only replied late in the evening saying she had switched off to enjoy the experience away
- I messaged her again on Sunday morning, but as it's now Tuesday and she hasn't replied yet.
I'm confused by these signals and don't know how to handle this acquaintance that I'm very interested in. There's a significant age difference of 13 years between us, and I don't understand what kind of relationship she would like and if she's genuinely interested in me and in what way. Currently, her life is very busy with her thesis and the outcome of a competition. I would like your opinion on this and advice on how to behave and what to expect from this situation... Thank you!
