How long should I wait to be asked on a third date?

Been seeing a guy for two weeks now and prior to our first date we would message every other day. After our second date we picked up a bit and messaged a couple of times a day and it took him 2 days to ask me out on a second date.

We go on our second date and it goes well. He asks me more about my work schedule and also asks when I’m moving to X city because he’s going to be getting busier with work during the weekday and the wants to start meeting on weekends. This is during the end of our date. I said yes I can do weekends.

After the second date we touch base 2/3 times a day like before but it’s been 3 days and he hasn’t asked me out on a third date yet but he’s still messaging me. He seems so interested on dates but over text the convos we have are good but we don’t ask deep questions just more how I day has been going which is fine because I prefer to talk in person. However, how long should I wait until my third date?

i cannot STAND these stupid time rules. if you're not married, and a guy was worth a first and second date, then he's worth a third date. period. but if he waits too long, and you're dating someone else exclusively by the time he gets around to asking for a third date, then it's his loss. it's that simple.

you don't know what's going on in someone else's life. you're not married to them, and they don't owe you anything, and you don't owe them anything. if they wait 6 months to ask you out again, then who cares? you will have something interesting to talk about. you're only closing doors of opportunity for yourself when you start making these rules for cutting guys off. a third date 6 months later is a date with someone you already know. what's wrong with that?

go on a date with a guy. keep the lines of communication open. don't expect anything. show genuine appreciation when you are asked the 3rd date.

in my day, this was just plain, normal manners. people treated each other with basic decency and respect. if he hasn't explicitly TOLD you that he's not interested in EVER dating you romantically again, then it means he's considering you an option. and if a guy has several options, it's because he's worth having. don't get your panties twisted just because other women find him desirable too.

the situation is, you want the guy that all the other girls want also, but you want him to say "fuck you" to all the other girls, and be exclusive to you, when he doesn't owe you anything and you haven't proven anything to him yet. why should he?

you need to pull your head out of your twat and just sit patiently and see what he does. and at the same time, if another fine man comes along and asks you out, then you go with him also.

and then, the guy who wants you the MOST, will push to make the relationship exclusive with you when the time is right. you might even get an engagement out of it. THAT'S HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO WORK!!

Texting is not an effective way of communicating or having deep conversations. If he seems interested means there's going to be another date he just seems busy. There's no magic number of dates or time that you should be focused on. His consistency and effort are more important than that. If you want to meet him so bad why don't you take the initiative this time and ask him if he'll be available at X day and X time?

Uh, I only give a girl one date anyway. I know what I want and what I like, I get that all out on the first date. If we click, it's immediately on to sex and relationship. Actually I do predate talks before I even waste any time or money. I have absolute dos and donts and I ask those over the phone before the date. If she clears that. We do a meetup to see if looks and personality fit. That's the first and last date. It's either no or we are onto sex and a relationship. Long drawn out dating is so stupid and so old. Such an old and stupid concept. Women also abuse guys with it to get free things like expensive dinners and events or gifts. Nope. No thanks. Phone call. One date. Then no or go.

first of all stop texting and responding to him or at least keep it short. If he is now just looking for validation then that will stop that nonsense. This will also push him to just cut ties or actually properly pursue you.

why aren't you asking him out for a 3rd date? why waste time waiting. you can just as easily ask since it seems like you want to. i can see this from his side too, he's probably thinking the same thing "i always ask her out, why hasn't she asked me out? is she not interested?"

Why not ask him on a third date yourself instead of only waiting for him to do it? Remember, we guys also take notice in how much you are investing into us too, so if we're doing all the investigating and you're not reciprocating, that's a red flag. So I say ask him yourself
