How do I return the gesture?

I’ve dated a lot of guys, but nobody like this guy.
We haven’t officially become boyfriend and girlfriend, but we treat each other like a couple. He does things for me that nobody in my life has ever done. He always ensures my truck has a full tank of gas, he drives across town to see me for lunch, he didn’t judge me for having a plushie I snuggle with at night. Instead he got me a plushie that looks like the monster from monsters inc (googly bear is my nickname for him). When my company did cut backs and I was laid off from work, he use to sneak money in my purse. :’) I’ve never had anyone in my life like him.
He does all these things and never asks for anything in return. I love him with all my heart. I don’t make as much money as he does, but I try my best to show him I love him by making him his favorite food and sweets, refilling his razor blades when he runs out, or tending to “needs” of his. I just wish there were other ways I could show him how much I love him, return the gestures he’s shown me somehow.

Any suggestions?

Make him some food, surprise him at work with food, surprise him at home with a little gift. The things he does for you work perfectly well for guys too. Just switch from money/material to food/material.

You have an honest conversation. Tell him how much he means to you and how you want to try and build a relationship with him. You will get one of two responses:

He will be happy: you already said he’s treating you like a girlfriend. It will help him realize he wants you officially.

He will be wishwashy: he may not say yes or say he’s not wanting a relationship. At least then you will know to stop wasting your time

I’ve never asked a guy, this a first for me haha. Definitely going to get brave and have a conversation with him over lunch tomorrow.

So looks like we are officially boyfriend and girlfriend lol. I felt him super anxious as I was talking to him, but when I told him “you do all these sweet things for me, and mean so much more than just a friend. That being said, it doesn’t feel right referring to you as just a friend, I want to call you my boyfriend and let our love grow.”
His eyes lit up and he smiled big. He was like “okay!” Then started hugging me and kissing me, he wouldn’t stop holding me lol. We spent lunch eating a sandwich with him holding me and me laying my head on him.
