How do guys recover from a poor relationship where he misjudged the girl’s character?

Ok so there guys who say they are good and then there are the ones who prove it in the relationship. I treated her good, was respectful never called her any names, always there for her, respected and wanted to help her family members who needed help. We ended up having serious relationship issues because she didn’t value communication when I would try to talk to her she would rather play on her phone or if we needed to have a serious conversation she couldn’t do it because it was triggering or too much. Moral of the story the relationship went down hill quickly because she pulls start being physically abusive and verbally abusive. The breakup itself was spontaneous and triggered by her because I wouldn’t let her make fun of me in my car so I dropped her off and she walked home. To give further context she would not stop even after I politely asked her multiple times to please stop so I pull over safely to the sidewalk and ask her to nicely exit my car, she goes home and calls her mom and goes like I can’t be with someone with just kicks me out of their car and forced me to walk home not at all acknowledging what led to that because that never happened before.

Typically they stay single permanently some take a chance on another gal though
