i personally think children ruin everything, so i think if people just stopped having kids it would spike for a decade or so, and the come down like that. we would need a constant supply of people though.

Well, depending on how or where the couples met will determine that, cuz most people are not saint they are sinners, and when they get married, have children... all the disgusting things they did in the past will start coming back to them. What they did in their past lives will start hunting them. The couples will start calling each other names because they both know each others past. Maybe he's a giglo... and she is a prostitute... etc.
People that lead these kinds of life will never be a good parent, cuz their past will surely hunt their kids, and if that happens? What do you think? DIVORCE💥.
