Been seeing this girl for a bit, we aren't dating but it's going there (seems to be at least). This week I'm going to her house to help her paint her room, and she lives with her mom. I don't know if her mom will be there when I get there, but it's a whole day thing so I'd imagine she'll be there at some point. I've met her mom once before (not counting meeting in passing) the first time I went to their house.
I was thinking, maybe it would be a good idea to bring flowers for her mom? As an in general sort of thing, ofc no one here knows the girl or her mom haha. I'd ask the girl but I kinda want to keep it a surprise.

I would buy two, one for the mom and one for the girl, or they might fight over the flowers. Go to the store physically and ask if they have flowers that are allergy proof, just in case the family is allergic to flowers.
Yo bringing flowers for the mom could totally work, but I'd maybe run it by the girl first. Like "hey, was thinkin of grabbing a small bouquet for your mom since I'll be hangin at your place all day. Cool idea or nah?"
That way if the mom's not big on flowers or something, you avoid any awkwardness. Moms can be hard to read sometimes too. But I bet she'd appreciate the thought!
Make sure to get nice easy care flowers too, not anything too fancy she has to fuss over. And maybe include a little note like "thanks for hosting, hope you both have a nice day!" Just a cute friendly gesture.
As long as you clear it with the girl first so she's not weirded out, I say go for it man. Good looks make a good impression! Just be chill about it and I'm sure mom will think you're a real gentleman. Nice idea bro!
I don't think that's very common nowadays, the mom *may* find it odd. I was personally raised by a mom that doesn't like receiving flowers because she sees them as a waste of money, so this mom could possibly think that way too.
